Justin Kearns, a West Virginia native, graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2014.  While studying at WVU, Mr. Kearns was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Legal Research and Writing, as well as being actively involved in other programs.  He served as Dean’s Fellow in Professional Responsibility for WVU College of Law’s Center for Academic Excellence.  He also was a member of the West Virginia Law Review for two years, first as an Associate Editor and then as Executive Notes Editor, for which he was voted by his peers as Executive Editor of the Year.  In addition, Mr. Kearns was a member of the United States Supreme Court Clinic, which focused on appellate work at the Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court levels.

Before joining Hardin Thompson, P.C., in March of 2018, Mr. Kearns practiced for over three years at a civil defense firm in Huntington, West Virginia, where his practice concentrated on insurance coverage, medical malpractice defense, corporate defense, and general insurance defense litigation.
