Attorney Alexander T. Poorman is originally from Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He earned his undergraduate degree at Lebanon Valley College, where he was also a member of the varsity football team and the Kappa Sigma Kappa fraternity.
After working for several years as a secondary-level social studies and alternative education teacher in Eastern PA, Mr. Poorman enrolled in the Duquesne University School of Law. While attending Duquesne, Alex was an award-winning member of Duquesne's nationally-recognized Trial Advocacy program. He was also the recipient of multiple CALI Awards.
Prior to joining Hardin Thompson, Mr. Poorman worked for litigation firms specializing in educational due process matters and employment issues. Mr. Poorman is a member of the State Bar of Pennsylvania and he is also admitted to practice before the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
