Biography

Grant H. Hackley is an associate in the Pittsburgh office of Hardin Thompson P.C. He concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance coverage, motor vehicle, premises liability, products liability, and environmental, toxic and mass torts. Grant has first-chair jury trial experience.

Grant earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007, where he served as the Law Review Editor-in-Chief. He served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ralph J. Cappy, Chief Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, and as a law clerk for the Honorable Bernard L. McGinley of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Grant earned his B.S. in Physiology & Neurobiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2000.

Grant was honored as a Legal Trailblazer by The Legal Intelligencer in 2020, and has been selected as a Pennsylvania Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2016 and 2017. He has participated in the Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Bar Leadership Initiative, and is also a member of the editorial board of Litigation News, a publication of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association. Grant also serves as the Pittsburgh Chapter Coordinator of Medals4Mettle, a charitable organization that accepts earned finishers' medals from endurance events and donates them to children and adults facing chronic or terminal medical conditions.

Grant is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and also the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Grant resides in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with his wife and their two boys.
