Biography
Mary Thomas began representing self-insured companies and insurance companies in 2002 and has continued to present. Her practice primarily consists of civil litigation with a primary focus on first party property claims, premises liability actions, insurance coverage issues and personal injury law involving a multitude of coverage and litigation issues. Ms. Thomas has handled all aspects of first and third party property insurance claims - including sinkhole, wind, water damage, theft, lightning, hurricane, hail damage, fire losses, premises liability, negligent security and dram shop claims - from inception to trial and has resolved countless cases by focusing on counseling her clients to achieve their goals in the most cost-effective manner, often before reaching trial, avoiding its uncertainty. Ms. Thomas has first and second chaired numerous successful jury trials across the state of Florida in both state and federal court in the areas of personal injury, slip and fall, automobile negligence.
