Biography
Sharon is a partner at Hardin Thompson, P.C. Part of her practice includes the representation of physicians, hospitals, and other health care professionals in medical malpractice and liability matters. Her work also entails products liability, consumer financial services litigation and compliance, premises liability, automobile liability, and construction law. Sharon's litigation experience includes defending clients through all stages of litigation in Magisterial District Courts, Arbitration, the Courts of Common Pleas, and all three Federal District Courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Hardin Thompson, P.C.,Sharon was an attorney at a large regional defense firm representing financial institutions in both state and federal court. She also represented physicians, nurses, hospitals, and other medical professionals in multi-million dollar cases. Sharon earned her juris doctor degree from the Duquesne University School of Law, where she focused her studies on civil litigation and criminal law. She served as the treasurer and vice president of the Family Law Society, was a criminal justice fellow, and worked on the Pennsylvania Innocence Project. Sharon received the CALI Award in Advanced Criminal Procedure, in addition to being recognized as an Outstanding Oral Advocate. Before entering law school, Sharon earned a B.A. in Human Service Studies, with a minor in Philosophy, from Elon University.
Sharon is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
In her spare time, Sharon enjoys spending time with her husband and children and exploring the Pittsburgh rivers on her family's pontoon.
