Emma Donahey is an Associate Attorney in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office at Hardin Thompson, P.C. 

Although a Rochester, New York native, Ms. Donahey graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in 2013 with a bachelor of arts in Business Administration and Psychology.  While there, she played four years for the Women's Soccer team, becoming a two-time PAC Champion and NCAA tournament participant. 

Ms. Donahey graduated cum laude from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2016.  During her law school career, Ms. Donahey received two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, given to the person with the highest grade in the class, in the subjects of Legal Research and Writing and Labor Law.  She also received an Outstanding Oral Argument Award for the presentation of her first year Appellate Oral Argument.  Combining her interest in constitutional and environmental law, Ms. Donahey authored "The Nollan/Dolan Land-Use Exactions Doctrine and its Role in Taking Jurisprudence: Koontz v. St. John’s River Water Management District," which was chosen for publication in the Fourth Volume of Joule: Duquesne Energy and Environmental Law Journal.

During her time at Duquense, Ms. Donahey worked as a Legal Research Assistant, a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Patricia A. McCullough of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, and a Certified Legal Intern in Duquesne's nationally recognized Veterans Clinic where she rendered legal aid and assistance to local veterans.  She also served as the Treasurer of the Military Law Society as well as the Alumni Relations Chair for the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity.

At Hardin Thompson, P.C., Ms. Donahey primarily practices employment law and insurance defense.  She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
